1. Role Purpose
CIVICA India is seeking a creative and self-motivated Lead Azure Engineer who could lead and mentor developers in cloud architecture, act as a conduit between onshore and off shore resources ensuring requirements are understood and communicated, software quality is high and deadlines are met with considerable exposure to multiple technologies and platforms.
A successful candidate must have a passion for public cloud particularly Microsoft Azure, with a proven track record of delivering complex solutions on this platform. Additionally must have a broad awareness of Azure services with a deep understanding in one or more areas.

2. Principal Responsibilities & Tasks
Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Creating and designing Azure architectures and upholding good architecture principles.
Producing high quality documentation for consumption of colleagues and development teams
Transitioning traditionally hosted applications into Azure in a cost effective manner with a mix of IaaS and PaaS
Where applicable re-architecting parts of applications to utilise Azure PaaS capabilities
Being a thought leader in introducing DevOps mindset and practices within teams
Helping teams build CI/CD pipelines in VSTS
Helping development teams solve complex problems in innovative ways
Provide expert technical advice to development teams
Helping to produce practices & patterns that can be applied across the business to accelerate cloud development
Governing that solutions adhere to security best practice 
A firm commitment to keeping up-to-date with the latest Azure services and offerings and a desire to learn in an ever evolving landscape
Identify opportunities for new business
Demonstrate good commercial judgement
Communicate and/or present concepts and ideas to clients
Mentor other team members
Work within timescales and costs set by the Project Manager
Assist in encouraging technical best practice within CIVICA outside your project team

Education:

First class and above grade in BE/BTECH/MCA equivalent degree from a university of UGC accreted.
Desirable – Azure Certifications

Employees must not in the course of their work for CIVICA write malicious code or anything intended to cause undesired effects, security breaches or damage to a system.

Line Managers must ensure that anyone reporting to them receive the appropriate level of training and guidance to ensure that employees have the knowledge to comply with legislation, policy and procedure.
