Job Purpose

To be a productive member of the development team that designs, builds, tests and supports OneStep products to high quality standards.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for OneStep product development and releases, to a high-quality standard, to the approved product roadmap and release plan:

Be involved with the specification, development, testing and maintenance of OneStep products and services to OneStep coding standards which includes carrying out peer code reviews
Where agreed, to lead the development on product suite modules which includes ensuring that the module is released for QA on time, is fully documented and take responsibility for ensuring that internal training is provided ahead of its general release date
To liaise with the QA team in order to ensure that products are released on time for QA and successfully address all testing feedback within its scheduled timeframe while retaining product quality
Provide second line support to the Operations team for all OneStep products and its infrastructure when required
Provide post production support of production systems and services and resolving software bugs
Any other additional duties deemed necessary as may reasonably be required from time to time 
Ensure that information security is considered at all stages of the project lifecycle
Be confident to voice your opinions and come up with new ideas and solutions

Technical Attributes

Experience of working with Objective-C Apple's Cocoa (OS X) or Cocoa Touch (iOS) frameworks, and their APIs 
Knowledge of at least one of the following development environments: Cappuccino, Cocoa, WebObjects
Experience and understanding of Unix operating systems 
Understanding of relational database design, knowledge of database abstraction frameworks would be advantageous 
Experience with web languages such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 
Familiar with JSON, XML, and web related technologies AJAX, REST
Use of modern version control software such as SVN or git
Understanding of OWASP web application security standards and knowledge of PCI-DSS in terms of how to produce secure programs and applications
Experience working in an Agile environment is beneficial
